  • HOLD ON TIGHT FOLKS, IT GOING TO BE A BUMPY RIDE!

“The road ahead will be long. Our climb will be steep,” Obama cautioned.

Young and charismatic but with little experience on the national level, Obama smashed through racial barriers and easily defeated Republican John McCain to become the first African-American destined to sit in the Oval Office, America’s 44th president. He was the first Democrat to receive more than 50 percent of the popular vote since Jimmy Carter in 1976.

Here’s Joe Biden’s quote, “Mark my words … it will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy. The world is looking. We’re about to elect a brilliant 47-year-old senator president of the United States of America. Remember I said it standing here if you don’t remember anything else I said. Watch, we’re gonna have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy.”

We all need to Pray for our new President!

  • This weekends shoot.

This weekend I’ll be spending the evening shooting a huge Gala Event at the Intercontinental Mark Hopkins Hotel in San Francisco,Ca. This is a annual fund raiser for the SF Council of Boy Scouts of America. Last year some of the auction items were a DeLorean automobile, and a Luxury Cruise. Money raised from this event (just like all the others I shoot for them) goes to send youth who normally couldn’t afford the cost, to camps, purchase uniforms and all sorts of other activities throughout the year. Scouting helps so many young men, some without Fathers, find a place to learn and share with others. It fills a void that is so terribly needed for youth.

(Straight out of the camera image from a Nikon D200, image by Sue Bryant)

This is an image one of my new photographers Susan shot while I was getting all the others exiting the outdoor 26 degree wedding we shot a couple of weeks ago in Lake Tahoe. Its really cool looking through someone else eyes on how they see a wedding. I asked Sue to capture for me as many little details, some she shot are just wonderful, even her husband Mike who was shooting got some really great shots. I am so proud of them! This next year they will start shooting on there own insted of with me and I cant wait to see how well they shoot thier own weddings for us!

  • Only a few more jobs for the year…

I’m winding up all my weddings for 2008, with only a few corporate events coming up all in San Francisco in November, the first at the Mark Hopkins Hotel, the second at the Ritz Carlton and SF MOMA Museum in December. Then its time for all those brides and grooms to get going and call us and get in here to book their dates or they’ll all be gone. There are only so many Saturdays open in a month and some months one weekend gets over 5 to 6 requests for the same date! Its nuts at times, but some months all brides seem to select the same date!

And now we have an election. This is a biggy folks, so I hope you are READING into both candidates and finding out who has the most experience, knowledge of the working goverment and not just voting for the best looking candidate. Now more than ever we need a strong, decisive leader, fighter for the American people who knows how to lead, and who loves America. So get out and vote on November 4th!

  • Politicians are’nt that bad after all…

I’m not one who really like’s politians that much, I mean face it, how many times have we been lied to by these people? Yes, I know there are good ones and bad ones, but most of the time many come off as used car salespeople with fast tounges and before you know it you’re buying what they’re selling..then you know what happens after that. But last nights politcals were very different. I saw a different side and I beleive a changing of views of these high profile people who are working for us in government. Last nights event was a charitable fundraiser benifiting the UC Davis Center for Neuroscience and the Pacific McGeorge Institute for Laws of health and Aging. The Global Board Chairman was Senator George J. Mitchell, and he delivered a very moving speech to us all. Others who spoke were Senator Steinberg, Congresswoman Matsui, and some others. All in all, it was a great evening at The Tsakopoulos Library Galleria in Sacramento. Here are just some of the images I captured last night.
