TRUTH ABOUT AMERICAN MARRIAGES
By Karen Asp
A new survey reveals some telling facts about marriage in America.
Marriage has been taking a hit in the headlines recently. Everywhere you look, couples are cutting that knot. Yet the outlook for marriage in this country may not be as bleak as you thought, if the results of a new survey from Parade magazine are any indication.
Parade polled 1,001 married Americans aged 18 and over and found some contradictions to the otherwise bleak news about marriage. For starters, a whopping 88 percent of participants reported being either happy or reasonably content in their marriages. Another telling statistic? Over half of the couples said they were happy in their marriages, half of them using words like “joyful” and “loving” to portray their marriages. What’s more, 71 percent of couples said they’ve stayed married because of deep love while 73 percent cited companionship.THIS IS THE BEST NEWS I’VE READ IN A LONG TIME, LETS NOT LET ANYONE DOWN!

With over1,200 in attendance for this lunch I will have my hands full lighting and photographing the 26 personpanel and all its guests. Hopefully I will have some quite time to pull Steve aside and get some niceshots of him for my blog. The very next morning we are off again to another Lake Tahoe wedding. -
Guys, you better have the RING when you propose!
Dispute shifts from marriage talk to flying knives
The argument started over a marriage proposal and ended when a Florida woman threw several knives at her boyfriend, authorities said. Celeste Irene Lagrant, 39, was arrested Saturday on charges of domestic battery and aggravated domestic assault.
Lagrant and her boyfriend, Bruce Montle, were at home Saturday night when they started arguing about a marriage proposal. It’s unclear whether one was actually made. During the dispute, Lagrant started throwing knives at Montle, who fled and called 911. The assailant, who refused to speak to the deputies when they arrived, was released on her own recognizance Sunday morning. -
Think long and hard before making those wedding decisions

Victoria Beckham
Given that it’s David and Victoria Beckham’s wedding anniversary today, who could be a more appropriate pick for our Iconic Brides feature than Victoria herself? When the couple married, on 4th July 1999, it was widely hailed as the wedding of the year. The ceremony was held at Luttrellstown Castle, in Ireland, amid a huge media frenzy, and was attended by Victoria’s fellow Spice Girls (minus Geri Halliwell), and a host of other stars.
One would think that she are her celebrity soccer Groom could have at least purchased a bouquet for her instead of a Tomato Plant! That is the ugliest thing I have ever seen in my 3o years of shooting weddings!
