Our New Babies are arriving today!
Thats right, I said our new babies…Our Canon gear all sold on Ebay in less than 24 hours and all of our Brand New Nikon D300 cameras and our Nikon D3 along with seven of Nikon’s newest lenses and flashes are all arriving today!
Its going to be like Christmas and Haunuka!

Now while we all know that new cameras can’t directly make us better photographers, I firmly believe that they can be quite a catalyst for renewed excitement for one’s craft, and can cause us to dive in all the more. Good luck this summer!

oh man, those two bodies are already awesomeness packed in a lil handheld package. Not sure aboutr the D3, but the D300 I love, so i’m sure the D3 is just multiples better =) enjoy the new gear, can’t wait to hear what ya think about it…

After reviewing all my new camera gear, the D300′s in my opinion are just as good as the D3 and for many $$$$$ less. The D3 is overkill as a wedding camera and is going back and I’m keeping all the rest. Just means I get to buy even more lenses!
One lens I’m really interested in is the 200mm f/2.0 from Nikon (8 lbs. $4,000.) and also the new 300mm f/2.8 from Sigma ($2500.). These are really BIG lenses and I’ve seen what they deliver…very sweet! Also, when I’m shooting a wedding the brides Uncle Joe wont have a lens like this and everyone will know who the pro is for a change! Ha!

@Borelfoto - Them “big gun” lenses, oh how I wish I had one! But (call me a sissy) I dunno if I’d take one to a wedding! The 200 2.0 might be great for high-fashion portraits on full-frame, but on DX I could only really imagine using it for a few seconds during the ceremony to get super-close shots… (I don’t like to get in people’s faces during the ceremony)
Personally Randy, I’d wait and see if Nikon’s next 70-200 2.8 is good. I think it should be KILLER sharp, and we both know it’s probably coming sooner than later!

I am SUPER jealous but happy for you.
DUDE I have been saving for two things this year… A new 12 gauge over under and a 200 f2… I got the over under now it is justifying spending $4000.00 on a specialty lens!!! Let us know if you get one. I tried to rent one and nobody has one for rent… I need to get off my butt and get NPS…
