  • Just another Beautiful Day in San Francisco!

    golden gate

These are my clients from a couple of years ago, Doctor Douglas Lew and Doctor Donna Barpal DDS. Their wedding was in Lake Tahoe and this past January 2007 they had a beautiful little girl named Chloe. I called Doug up on the phone to see how they were doing a few days ago and said lets do a shoot of the new family up in the city. I always offer a free family portrait session for any of my couples with their new borns after 6 months. Going all the way (4 hours R/T) to San Francisco was my idea. My wife Laura actually came along this time and we all had a blast. Afterwards Laura and shopped and had lunch on the water in Sausilito at Spinnakers. The food was marvelous and the view of the city was too. Here are just a few of the images I created for Doug & Donna and their little princess!

  • Love Em! Absolutely! Nothing like having a client for life.
Great work! This shows your heart…the money is nice, but
sometimes you just have to do the right thing and look at the
    big picture. You get it!

  • What beautiful images of a beautiful family.  It looks like it was a beautiful day in San Francisco too.

  • great shots randy…totally cutsie baby too…as far as the layout on my page…its so easy, in PS just free transform each layer and on a pc hold down the control button and with your mouse drag the edges to get the side effect and then control J to copy the layer and pull that layer down and then lower the opacity of that layer to make it look like a reflection, you will have to clip off parts of the layers when adding the next ones…

  • These look awesome man. Thank you so much for all the tips on the last post

  • lol Randy, ever the Canon guy.

You’re right though, Nikon’s lack of equivalent to the 5D is going to keep them well behind Canon in this field of medium-high end wedding and portrait photography. And when the Nikon equivalent comes out and if it has the D3′s ISO 25600 sensor, Canon will probably already have a 5D replacement out with the same or better specs. Haha oh well, they’re all amazing cameras and they all get the job done extremely well in most every situation.

It will be interesting to see if Nikon’s new 14-24 f/2.8 is actually sharp or if it’s just good on paper, and if Canon comes out with an equivalent or if they consider the 16-35 good enough…
