  • Time to change and upgrade equipment agian!

Every two years I take a good long look at all the new Digital Camera’s and new gear that is offered to us as professional photographers. Wanting to always offer my clients and myself the very best in color, sharpness and quality I’ve decided to switch back to Canon Professional Camera’s and lenses. The new camera’s I just purchased are the ONLY digital cameras that offer a “Full Frame Sensor” the Canon 5D. With the full size sensor and the 12.3mp file size clients will now enjoy seeing more of their images and also the newer electronics of these cameras allow for better color too!

This is the 4th time in eight years that I’ve sold and repurchased new gear. Its expensive each time, but as a professional I want to deliver the best that I can with the newest technology for all of my clients, from corporate to weddings.

  • i dont hate, but I envy :goodjob:

  • Bravo!  I fell in love with my 5D after a single, full-framed, high ISO frame!  I’d like to hear your continued impressions.  Randy, I wish you and your family a happy, healthy new year.

  • Randy, Welcome back to the Canon family!!!! Wishing you a very happy new year. ~ Dawn

  • how do you spell boocoo?

  • Randy, welcome back! I look forward to seeing you shoot at ISO 3200 and loving it! So have you sold all your Nikon gear? I have Nikon buddies who may want to purchase some of your gear.

  • You will love it, the 5d is an awesome camera!

  • Another satisfied Canon customer…cha-ching!

    5D’s ROCK!!!

  • I agree, changing to Canon is a move i have never regreted.
All the best to you for the new year.

  • Hi Randy, I don’t see you on Fong’s blog much anymore. Thought you’d fallen off the SF coastline! LOL

I want a 5D realllllll bad, but not in the budget. I’m sucking it in and probably going to get a new 70-200 f/2.8 IS L lens. My weddings start in March, so I’m going to try and pay down a couple of credit cards before I fill ‘em back up!

I did get the Xti and for a measly $800, it’s pretty dang incredible…….let’s see four Xti’s or one 5D………dream on….huh?

Write me! We need to catch up!

Are you going to PMA in March? You should, I’ll be an instructors assistant for the fourth year and I’ll be assisting some heavyweight PS’ers…
