  • Just Love Xmas Weddings

Had a wonderful wedding last night in downtown Sacramento at The Library Galleria. My couple lives in Washington and booked me well in advance last year, Thank You Internet! Merideth is originally from the Chico area and her parents are both teachers, she is a Social Worker and her new husband works for Microsoft. There were about 150 in attendance from all over the map, with one of the brides sisters coming all the way from Sweden with her entire family. Here are some shots from last night!

  • A True Friend is a Blessing!

    afriends

I don’t know about all of you, but I treasure the few friends I really have. If you think about it, how many REAL friends do we each have? Some popple I know have so many, at least it appears that way, but when the hard times hit are those people really your friends? Will they get out of bed at 2am in the morning if you’ve broken down and come get you, would they jump to help you out with a dead battery and you’re stuck on the side of the road somewhere? That’s what a real friend is. Someone who is there for you, in good times and bad. My wife is such a person and my new friends the Lydells are the same . This time of year when I look back at all of my blessings,I take a moment and thank God for bringing new friends into my life.

  • So, tell us all what you would like for Christmas!

    santa200x150

Santa wants to know what is important to you and what you would like for Christmas and why you think you deserve it. One lucky person is going to have their wish come true, but I need tons of people to respond!

  • “Say Hey” Its Willie Mayes!!!

Had a fun time this morning photographing for my friend Chuck Smith CEO of AT&T for one of his favorite charities, The Achieve Program. Chuck had a few of his friends show up for the kids to have their pictures taken with. First was Super Bowl Champion Ronnie Lott of the 49ers and then a legend joined him, Willie Mayes of  San Francisco Giants Fame.

Achieve provides four-year high school scholarships to low-income, minority students at three Bay Area private schools: Archbishop Riordan High School in San Francisco, Mercy High School in San Francisco, and Holy Names High School in Oakland.

As a year-round program, we provide students with extensive academic support, mentoring, summer internships, cultural and community service activities. It is our ultimate goal that all achieve students go on to college, graduate, and become successful citizens who will give back to their communities.

I’m looking forward to shooting their party next year too. All of these kids will have their college education paid for and they all, yes all are guaranteed jobs every summer. No money is from our government, its all from personal donations. What a great program, i wish it was everywhere!
