    Viva Las Vegas!

    vegas

For 8 hours I’ll be shooting, posing and running all over the Las Vegas strip with Erin and Chris creating images of the two of them in and around some of the most famous Hot Spots. There wedding isn’t until May 19th next year, but we wanted to get these done while the weather was just right.

We leave around noon on 10-2-06 and return at 10pm the same day. Be sure to come back the next day to see the web show and some of the photos. These ought to be spectacular, and I hope to get them with some of the entertainers performing when we are there too. You never know who you might run into!

  • Just a few shots from tonights wedding..

I just got home after shooting nonstop for five and a half hours, down loaded all of my images, did a fast 1st edit, tomorrow I will do my final edit, and low and behold here are a few shots for all of you to check out. It was great to finally have the weather cool down to a working climate of 74 degrees! This entire summer all of us in the wedding industry here in Sacramento have been working in 110-120 degree weather.

Tonights wedding was really fun. Mallory and Drew’s family and friends were so nice and helpful. This was a real hands on family affair with friends who set up, helped coordinate and also baked and shipped all the way from Idaho there wedding cake, and boy oh boy was it good!

What a beautiful winery. Great food, music, dancing and a fabu sunset. You’ll see most of this by Wednesday folks. My deepest thanks again to Mark and Kerri Lydell for all of there help in assisting and shooting this wedding with me. I can’t wait to see and share their images here with you all. Here are as few photos I shot from tonights wedding.

  • Today Im bring my Posse Along to shoot with me

I’m bringing my friends and fellow photographers the Lydells along today to shoot with me at my wedding. Its going to be a real treat for all of us. They’re really good at shooting journalistic style and I’ll have them get some shots of me shooting the wedding too. Its going to take about 48 hours of labor afterwards going through almost 2500 images editing and selecting which ones I’ll deliver to my clients. Ah…digital it makes our lives so much easier, NOT! The old days of film were so easy. You would shoot and compose, send the film to the lab that color corrected everything and sit back and get your finished prints. Now all of us (photographers) sit for hours at a computer going blind, color correcting, retouching and adding special touches to our images, This adds about four time’s more labor than ever before, not counting the thousands of dollars I have spent on all the software it takes to create the finished images for clients. But the great thing about shooting digital is to see your image right away, and catch and correct something if its captured with the wrong exposer or someones eyes are shut!

Oh and a little secret about digital capture too, I can make a bad image look great. Can’t do that with film.

We’ll be at the Montivena Winery in Plymouth, California today heres a photo from their site.
