  • Me and Flipsyde…Da’Boyz

This is yours truly at a photo session with the Hip-Hop group Flipsyde. They are on tour right now opening for Black Eyed Peas…whatever that is? LOL! I’m so old, the names of  music group’s these days is a riot…who comes up with them?

Here they are with Jay Leno at The Tonight Show the next day after having their photo taken with me. I think I had more fun shooting them they Jay did from the photos.

  • Las Vegas Engagement shoot booked!

There are engagement sessions, then there are engagement Locations. I just recently booked Erin and Chris for their May 2007 wedding in Lincoln, California. After we all talked about the wedding the question came up about me creating a one of a kind engagement session for them. I had just designed three new exciting shoots, one being up here in my area of Northern California the others in Hollywood and Las Vegas.

Well there’s no place like Vegas baby! We’re planning a Oct 2nd day of  fun and excitement in beautiful Las Vegas. We’ll be leaving around 11:30am returning around 11pm the same day. It’s going to be a very long and fun day as we shoot many exteriors of the strip and lots of  beautiful interiors of some of the most famous hotels and casinos. I can’t wait to shoot the night time photos, they are going to be spectacular!

Don’t worry, you’ll all see lots of the images right here the very next day, so keep on checking in with my blog.

  • Before the wedding ideas.

Before you know it…it’s your wedding day.

Engagement sessions are a great way for myself and my couples to get to know each other. We’re finding out the likes and dis-likes of a couple and the best angles to shoot them at. Its also a great idea for gifts for families and friends, not to mention starting off your wedding album with some of the images captured. One of my favorite and romantic locations to shoot at is San Francisco. We also offer shoots in Hollywood and Las Vegas. Check out our rates on our web site to read about all of our engagement get-aways!

  • Maui comes to Sacramento

From Hawaii to the Grand Island Mansion. My clients Allison and Carlos got married on the island of Maui with 38 family members in attendance on 6-10-06 then flew home on 6-15 , had all their clothes dry cleaned and started preparing another reception here in Sacramento for 140 guests and family. It seems the hot weather followed them back home but that didn’t stop everyone from enjoying themselves and dancing the night away.

Below are a couple of photos the family shot and then a few from Borel Photo.

  • Oakland A’s, Oakland Raiders and Oh my…lots of Hall of Famers!

Ah the life of a professional photographer, it has its ups and its downs. On Monday June 12th it was all Up and Fun. I photographed the SF Council Bay Area Boy scouts 10th annual celebrity golf classic at Blackhawk Country Club in Danville,Ca with my good friend and fellow photographer Clark Woolsey. From the Raideretts to some of the biggest Oakland Raider Hall of Fame Players, Star players from the Oakland A’s, Warrior Girls and CEO’s from some of the largest corporations in the Bay Area it was a blast .I haven’t seen that many Super Bowl rings in one room at the same time before and the players and coaches were a hoot. When these guys get together its like time stood still and they are all in their 20-30′s again. The only drawback to the day was the weather.Who would have expected 56 degrees of wind and chilling cold for a June event?! Oh well everyone had a blast, the food and service at Blackhawk was the best, the course, which there are two of them was like trying to figure out a Pirates map to get from one location to another it was to say the least a great challenge for 200 players. First place was Nick Swisher’s Oakland A’s group. How these guys partied hard and won was unbelievable! The auction, raffle and dinner raised almost $200,000.00. The main man that put the entire classic together, organized, got donations of gifts, contacted and booked talent, pretty much did everything to make this event like all the others was my good friend Frank Yoke. Frank is the SFBSA finance director and one of the nicest people you would ever want to meet, and one of the humblest too. Below you can see yours truly in a headlock by Hall Of Famer Art Toms and some of

    the Raiderettes.

  • Kids…Kids…Everywhere!

I love a wedding that has lots of little kids around at the reception. Its fun to watch and capture the innocence and the way we all were when we were young. Not a care in the world back then, all we did was eat, sleep, play and sleep again. Here are a few images from some recent weddings that say it all.

  • Its Sunday and its another great wedding…

Turns out my Lincoln, Ca couple were originally from the Bay Area and all of their guest’s who came to the wedding were from all over the peninsula. It turns out I even knew the brides father, he used to work across the street from my old studio in Burlingame, California. Its a small world friends.

My bride Allison and her new husband John had a great time and even with the bright hot sun beating down on us they didn’t seem to care. All  I saw were two people who never took their eyes off each other as soon as Allison started making her long walk down to the water where the ceremony was to take place. The dinner following was a fabulous buffet, we had to dance it off or we were going to gain…like 5 pounds! The desert, the cake, well lets just say CHOCOLATE! Oh yea baby, my clients were chocohaulics mike me, I love these guys!

  • My Big Italian Wedding

Its Saturday 6-3-06, 95 degrees out in the sun, no shade and 200 people are waiting for the big event of Lauren and Dominic.  This was a wonderful wedding at Lincoln Hills Golf and Country Club in Lincoln,California. Some of the largest PGA classics are played here and I shoot about 5-6 weddings a year at this location. In fact I have another wedding there today @ 5pm.

This couple is so cute, they went all out with every vendor, they had the best of everything, from the food to the flowers it was wonderful!  Every person at this wedding had the same energy towards this couple and that was the love of family. You could’nt tell family from friends because everyone was having so much fun. I had a blast with the entire wedding party, they were all like me…Type A! In fact I  think they were Type AAAA LOL!
