Just finished up a early morning engagement session with my 9-16-06 wedding couple Brianne and Jeremy. These two have been together since they were 15 years old, they’re now 24. Its wonderful to see a couple who has been raised so well and understands what it takes to make a marriage, these guys will be married forever! Brianne is so cute, its easy to make her laugh…I just open my mouth, say something stupid and away she goes! Looking at the picture below, I even think their dog understood me.

Can You Say HOWDY?!
Its 8am and Im off to Wheatland California for a 8:30am engagement session with Kati and Levi (soon to be Mr. & Mrs. Rosser). I had so much fun photographing this couple, they are so matched for each other and have the greatest family. The Rosser family runs one of the largest Rodeo’s in the United States. Here is a little history on Levi’s Grandfather.
Cotton Rosser is a name that has become synonymous with quality rodeo production. After a ranch accident in 1956 abruptly ended a promising career as a rodeo contestant, Cotton purchased the Flying U Rodeo Company. For the past several decades, Cotton and his family have worked to make the Flying U one of the most successful stock contracting firms in professional rodeo. Cotton has long been known for his outstanding rodeo productions, including the flamboyant opening ceremonies presented at the National Finals Rodeo, the Houston Livestock Show and the Grand National Rodeo in San Francisco just to name a few.

And we have a winner!
Photo: Taylor Hicks on winning the American Idol 2006.
There is something great about winning a competition that makes you feel like what you’ve done was well worth all the work. Its the same when someone books me for their wedding. I know I’ve won their confidence and also my work has stood out from all the others. When I’m hired its a great rush, and a wonderful feeling knowing that I will be the person who will be documenting a couples most important day in their lives, we all are winners.

Happy 90th Eleanor!
Had a really busy yet fun day yesterday afternoon photographing the Rodgers Family of Auburn,California. About 75 guests attended Eleanor’s 90th Birthday celebration. This lovely lady acts and moves around like she’s only 60! The food was all catered by renowned chef Randy Peters ( www.venitarheas.com )and was wonderful in presentation, appearance and taste. Below is just the family photo taken a hour before all the guests showed up.The last image is of Eleanor and her four daughters and son. All in all, there were FOUR GENERATIONS that attended and I am honored to have been the photographer who has captured these images for all of these families.

SF Council Bay Area Boyscouts of America Gala
I’ve been shooting for the San Francisco Bay Area Council of Boyscouts of America now for almost 10 years. They hold Gala dinners and fundraiser’s throughout the year to raise money to send young men to summer camps, purchase uniforms and offer scholarships for Bay Area Scouts. Just two weeks ago they held another dinner and auction that raised nearly $300,000.00. Photo attached is the Chairman of AT&T, Mr. Chuck Smith, Tom Mack / Hall of Fame LA Rams and Mr. Frank Yoke, SF Boyscouts Fundraising chairman. The next big fundraiser will be on June 12, 2006 at Blackhawk Country Club, with many celebrities including the Oakland Raiders, Oakland A’s and many more. Tee off is at 8am. I will be posting lots of images from that event. Be sure to check back on June 13th!

Catching up on missed Blog entries!
I’m trying to catch up and post some of my work for everyone to see and learn how to create this BLOG stuff, its a little new to me, but I think I’m getting the hang of it.
For those of you who don’t know it, full time professional photographers attend Trade Shows and Conventions for their business, this past April I attended WPPI in Las Vegas and bumped into this character who some of you might remember from the hit ABC TV show “Murphy Brown” starring Candice Bergen, its Joe Regulbuto who played “Frank Fonatana” for 8 years on the show that ended in 1999. He is curreently the Director of the “George Lopez” show on ABC and who knew…he’s a photo buff.
