Todays Wedding at Arden Hills Country Club in Sacramento
What a wonderful day and thank goodness the weather wasn’t 107 again! Here are just some of my images from today’s wedding. I had Brian Lydell come along and help shoot for the day, as soon as I get his DVD of his pics, I will add some of his also for everyone to see. For just shooting his first year with his family and learning so much from his parents, Brian is going to be a great photographer!

Holy schmolies number 4 reminds me of a glamour movie stars from the 40s! Gorgeous!!!!
My favorite of anything I have ever seen of your work and I have seen some good stuff!
Kerri
Aww thanks for mentioning Brian.
That last shot makes the people in front look like midgets. My apologies if they actually are.
=Matt=
Matt:
Your comment cracked me up and yes they look like small people. Just goes to show you that even a 30 year veteran like myself can still make a mistake with a fisheye lens, a funny one at that! I guess with the heat and trying to shoot to fast and holding the camera above my head that I didn’t see what was happening to the guys I had kneeling down. These guys were like over 6 feet tall too!
Randy
These are all great, but I can’t quit looking at that glamour photo of the bride!
Top shelf Randy!
Midwest Randy
Randy these are gorgeous!
Funny you should mention about doing cupcakes and white background with kids. I did just that with Caydence, the blonde blue eyed little girl! We set up all kinds of things on the white backdrop; I just didn’t post them. She had a lot of other cute shots; I just put a couple for now until her parents picked from the whole shoot.
=) I really like that last one.
and ryc, idk about amazon only being a drop ship company, i know they do that as an option, but they also carry stock of their items, at least i hope they didn’t mislead me when i bought all those other items that was “shipped and sold from amazon.com”… i think i’ll call up canon and give them some serial#s of my gear from amazon and see if they’re valid and/or have any history on them. i only ordered from them because they actually had a preorder list and a great return policy. also, from what i have heard from some friends, they don’t buy lenses from BH because sometimes they resell returned lenses (they have actually recieved lenses with fingerprints on them!), i really hope you did not experience that.
either way, let’s hope it all works out ya? =)
Hey Randy! Writring to you from Lake Tahoe…where we are sitting here waiting for a rental car and how much the car repair is going to be! Blahhhhh!
Talk to you when we get back….
Looking awesome
hahah! OMG! you read my mind!! i couldn’t get rid of those ugly boxes!!!!! that room that they were changing in was like….ick! and you got me right on about reviewing the pictures and wishing i would’ve done things differently… like moving hair out of peoples faces and such… i always kick myself afterwards about little things like that. i should’ve made the bride smile more too i thought. i think i could’ve done better shooting the groomsmen as well.. to me it seemed like i really didn’t concentrate on them enough. this was the first wedding that i shot that the church had rules that i had to follow.. i really couldn’t get the ceremony shots that i would’ve liked… how do you work with something like that? just have them re-act the scenes afterwards? or just get what you can? thanks for your advice… i need advices like that…
Great shots as usual! The lighting on the one shot is great!
Love how you make people smaller. Have they invented a lens yet that will make me taller?
