Headshots..They can really boost your business.
I used to think that shooting business head shots was boring and you couldn’t make that much money from them. That was about 25 years ago. I hate shooting the plain old boring studio head and shoulder images for people, but sometimes thats all they need and want. I like too express to my clients that the public wants to see you at work, they want to see an actual person in a familiar place so they can identify with them.
It works, and its great getting outside and using all of your creative juices to come up with new ideas all the time. This morning I had a great shoot with Jim Seibert of Vitek Mortgage. Jim uses me about 4 times a year for photos for all of his advertising. Both Jim and I thought we should generate some new looks, so in only 40 minutes I did an entire full length shoot upstairs in his companies lobby, then broke down my gear and headed outside and also in the buildings lobby. I found all sorts of places to come up with different angels and images. Here are some so you can get an idea of what I do.
Full length photo taken with a Canon 5D 25-105mm, all others with my Canon 85mm 1.8 lens no flash on any of these all natural light.

Great shots. You sellin that 85mm lens anytime soon? LOL! :giggle:
Nice work. Great cameras…:goodjob:
get shots…
I can really start to see you using that natural light! Looks great! Just keep it simple…it makes the shoot so much quicker (and easier) and more than likely the subject will be much more comfortable. I think that available looks better too! Keep it up!!!
These business shots came out awesome! The first shot is my favorite.
